Cove Carpet One Floor and Home has served the diverse flooring needs of Northern New Jersey for over 50 years.  In April 2022, Jerry Kelly, owner of Kelly Carpet & Flooring located in Cedar Knolls, NJ, acquired Cove Carpet.  Prior to purchasing Cove, Jerry was selling and installing flooring for residential and commercial clients for over 35 years. 

Today, Cove Carpet One is a haven for commercial and residential clients, as well as designers and decorators.  Our work spans from single family residential projects to multi-level commercial properties.  We offer a broad range of flooring from carpeting, area rugs, luxury vinyl, wood, sanding and refinishing, and a full array of remnants.  We also have multiple rolls of designer carpets in stock, ready to be installed for a quick turnaround.  Shopping for flooring can be confusing and sometimes stressful because of the vast selections available today.  Our team takes pride in the way we are able to direct our customers to the right floor for the right application, as well as meet their design needs.

We partner with multiple installation teams that specialize in both soft and hard surface flooring.  Our teams are highly skilled professionals who are meticulous about their craft.  We strive to complete each installation in a timely manner with minimal disturbance to enhance the beauty and value of the space while ensuring customer satisfaction.

Meet the Owner

Jerry Kelly, Owner Jerry Kelly purchased Cove Carpet One in April 2022.  He has been in the flooring industry for over 35 years.  From day one, Jerry enjoyed what he did and took pride in his work.  In 1989, he opened his own business, Kelly Carpet & Flooring.  There, he provided sales and installations for residential and commercial clients throughout New Jersey and beyond.  Now, 35 years later, Jerry still provides his customers with personalized and professional service.  When the opportunity to purchase Cove became available, the idea of expanding into the retail business seemed very interesting and the exact type of challenge that he wanted for the next phase of his career.  Jerry and his team have a great commitment to the company, their customers and the community which will contribute to the continued success of the business. When he isn’t working, Jerry enjoys spending time with his family and friends, working on projects at his house and playing with his dogs. Dogs are always welcome in the store!
